About Argenta Drug

Established in 1880, Argenta Drug Co. is the oldest continuously operating pharmacy west of the Mississippi River. It is housed in the oldest brick building in North Little Rock. Until 2006, a vintage classic Coca-Cola ad was painted on the 4th Street side of the building, but has since been restored. We are located in the Argenta Historic District.

 

When you step in to the drugstore, you step back in time. Little has changed since the 1950's, as we sport vintage apothecary wallpaper, the original pressed tin ceiling and hand-laid tile flooring. Renovations happen slowly, a little bit at a time but what is not slow is our service. We know your time is valuable and we strive to get you in and out quickly - often in 10 minutes or less!  As a hometown pharmacy and drugstore, we base our business on the fact that customers deserve to have their prescriptions filled with attention to detail, knowledge, and a friendly smile.

 

We encourage our customers to ask questions and seek advice from our pharmacy staff. Be it a new medication or one you have been taking for years, your safety matters to us, and we want to work with you to help you manage your health and medication regimen.  You can also rely on us for quality medical billing. We accept most Medicare plans, Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield, UMR and many others.
